At "RGW's MAP: Mentoring for Artists & Photographers", accessible from https://www.rgw-map.com/, one of our main priorities is the comfort and safety of all our members. This Code of Conduct document delineates how you should act when using the Forum at "RGW's MAP: Mentoring for Artists & Photographers".

If you have additional questions or require more information about our Code of Conduct, do not hesitate to contact us.

By your use of the forum at RGW's MAP, you agree to the following:

We're all here to accomplish the same goals.
Therefore, we need your help to keep this community strong and useful.

These guidelines were created to ensure that together we're creating a place that’s welcoming, inclusive, and valuable for everyone.

With that in mind, we ask that you follow these basic principles when you use our forum.

Focus on knowledge sharing and giving more meaningful feedback.

There are plenty of places online where we can dole out our unsolicited opinions. We want to instead foster an environment where healthy conversation and thoughtful, constructive feedback is encouraged and everyone is celebrated for sharing their progress, questions, stories, and perspectives.
Our goal is to create a fostering environment. That can only happen when you are committed to your own creative goals and respect the creative goals of others. Give meaningful feedback to the other members, as you expect to get meaningful feedback from them. Share your knowledge to help the other members, as you expect to get knowledge and help from them.

Be respectful.

Please be kind and constructive when you add a new post, ask a question, or comment on someone else's contribution. Snark or spam will be deleted immediately. Do that too often and you'll be removed from the group.

As well, people can have very strong viewpoints about politics, religion or nationality. Please respect the viewpoints of others and try to stay on topic to what this particular forum is about, the elevating of artists and their ability. While discussions can happen impromptu and no one will be censured for brief dialogues on these topics, avoid creating direct posts about politics, religion or nationality or inciting others to do so.

Provide context.

We love it when our members share links and resources. If you do, add some commentary or give us some context so that we can understand more about why you care about the particular link or resource.

When you post your own work, tell us about your goals for the work or how you created it, so we can give you more meaningful feedback.

Please don't spam.

Feel free to share your knowledge, experiences and successes with the others here in our community MAP Forum. It is also great when you share your recent blog post, gallery exhibition details or successes you have had on other online platforms. However, our group is not the place for you to "harvest" followers or contacts or gain sales.
Please do not solely or excessively promote your other networks or your business.
Spamming or soliciting will not be tolerated.
